Mentor/Mentee Interest Form
NAFSA is launching a mentorship program next month on March 6th! This program is designed for high school & college students to receive help from professional members that occupy a number of different fields in the professional workplace. A few of the objectives of this program include:
- Providing opportunities for leadership development
- Developing a professional and social network
- Professional Development exposure into the mentee’s potential career field.
- Building cultural diversity
- The opportunity to learn, provide insights, and ask questions about a career path
- And many more!
In addition, we are looking for a few collegiate mentors to participate in this initiative to mentor our high school members! A few of objectives of being a mentor are:
- Provide guidance to a student with their career path
- Be a leader who can inspire a student to continue their educational studies
- A role model that can help students navigate their strengths and challenges
- Be recognized as an advisor in your field of expertise
- Giving back to the community and African Diaspora
