National Executive Board

NEB

The National Executive Board (NEB) is an opportunity for current students and recent graduates (up to 1 year removed) to serve their peers in a national leadership capacity or committee while gaining meaningful leadership experience. We value leveraging each other and having a local focus on projects and programs at the schools and universities represented in our diaspora.
The team is given as much autonomy as possible leading the organization. The Board of Directors and Advisory Board are on hand to provide guidance and resources to ensure success of the team.

Interns, Vounteers & Zone Members

Interns are current undergraduate or graduate level students who serve renewable three month rotations. As a student, this provides you an opportunity to grow your skills or explore an area while fulfilling the mission of NAfSA. As part of our Career Development objective, we want to ensure you start advancing in your career as early as possible and also help you receive course credit based on your school’s program academic requirements.

Volunteers and Zone Members are either students or professionals serving a certain role over an indefinitely period. The roles can either be short term over a few weeks in a project or long term serving a certain role.

The Board of Directors comprises of individuals from various fields from marketing to financial analysts with experience in both corporate and nonprofit fields. Their expertise in their respective fields, various talents, and experiences helped envision and create an organization. Here they collectively bring their vision for the
advancement of African students to life to ensure sustained transfer of knowledge in NAfSA’s mission aim to foster the amelioration of Africa and its people.
Led by the Executive Director, they run the day-to-day operations of the organization on a volunteer basis.
