Africa’s rising leadership star is women, and we believe that by empowering the next generation of these leaders, we can create positive change within the African diaspora. We invite you to join our remarkable cause and make a difference by sponsoring these women to attend our National Conference hosted by New York University in New York City!
In collaboration with NYU Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity, and Strategic Innovation (NYU OGI) and Africa Mbele, an organization working to identify and create pathways for global asset recovery, our conference will feature panel discussions, workshops, career opportunities, and more with influential policy makers and leaders from governmental, nonprofit, and business organizations. This conference will serve as a platform for African women student leaders to engage in inspiring discussions, share their experiences, and network with established professionals in various fields. By sponsoring their attendance, you will give these remarkable young women a chance to learn, grow, and become catalysts for change in their communities.
Your support matters, and together, we can make a lasting impact. We urgently need to raise $50,000 to sponsor the registration, flights, and hotel accommodations for 100 African women student leaders. To donate click the link below. Together, let’s continue to unlock the potential of these remarkable young women and pave the way for a brighter tomorrow!

– Unfortunately, not all youth interested in the discussions have their own means to cater to the expenses of attending the conference. We estimate the cost to be on average about $500/attendee. Though various universities have the capability to sponsor their students, many of them have yet to value what such a movement can achieve.
– NAfSA will carefully select deserving members to attend this conference based on prior engagements with them, written submissions and need. However, donors may also have the option to specify a target audience if their funds are restricted due to various reasons on their end.
– All expenses will either be paid directly by NAfSA or through an approved reimbursement system.
– If you’re in the U.S., yes, you can.
– 100% of the proceeds will go towards the transportation and accommodation expenses of the members.
– Please see options on our Donation page and specify your donation is for the 100WL campaign. Additionally, if you would like to donate your miles for flights, please email us at donate@nationalafsa.org for details.
